During the Monsoon Season, this stunning World Heritage area changes to lush green and wet. Rivers overflow. Waterfalls expand to roaring rushes. Experience one of the world's greatest natural areas in the "Green Season". Discover amazing ancient sandstone landscapes and some of the world's greatest wetlands. Observe rock art. Visit Arnhemland and see contemporary Aboriginal art and culture. Enjoy Kakadu's prodigious array of plants and animals. The Blue Mountains World Heritage site covers seven National Parks and the Jenolan Caves. Despite being on Sydney's doorstep there are many little-known, but wonderful sites to explore. Visit six of these: Blue Mountains, Kanangra-Boyd, Jenolan, Gardens of Stone, Wollemi and Yengo. This area contains grand sandstone escarpments, vast wilderness areas, spectacular scenery, a rich history and some remarkable flora and fauna including the ancient Wollemi pines. It provides wonderful bush-walking opportunities and challenging adventure.
The Lord Howe Island World Heritage site is a precious jewel of the South Pacific. Spend nine days on one of the world's most romantic and beautiful islands. Explore the island by foot and see its coral reefs and coast by boat and by snorkelling. Discover a rich variety of flora and fauna.
